Jefferson Davis

Description - Second Floor Guest Room:
REDISCOVER YOUR ROMANCE IN REGAL STYLE & ELEGANCE. This antique-appointed and spacious room features a grand, Greek Revival style, four column bed and ornate wrought-iron canopy queen-size bed with deluxe fiberbed and luxury linens. The room provides many added amenities such as a Flat-Screen Satellite TV/DVD/Movies, Books/Magazines, Radio/CD Alarm Clock, and Ceiling Fan. Three large 9' windows provide panoramic views of the beautiful countryside including the Alpaca and Llama Fields, our all-white blooming "Moon Garden," which tends to glow at night, and the neighboring 3,000 acre race horse farm. There is a Private Bath with Shower Stall, Exclusive Spa Toiletries, Turkish Towels, and Spa Robes.

The room's namesake, Jefferson Davis, was educated in Springfield and had several family connections in this area. Both Civil War Leaders had strong ties to our town of Springfield. More can be learned not only from the Civil War Memorabilia contained in the room, but also at our Court House, the oldest continuously operating Court House in Kentucky. It now features a Civil War Museum, featuring the Civil War Leaders and the numerous Civil War activities that occured in and around Springfield during those years. Civil War Enthusiasts will be delightfully surprised at the abundance of educational sites in our surrounding area.
